Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the Psychometric Properties of the attitudes and social cognitive strategies questionnaire in high school students. The type of study is technological; for this, a stratified random sampling with proportional allocation of 329 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 years from two educational institutions in the district of Trujillo was used. It was worked with the construct validity through the correlation coefficient item scale, where 8 items were removed; obtaining in the Social Attitude Scales values that oscillate between .191 and .481; and at Scales of Social Thought, 8 items, where values range between .201 and .591 were removed. Similarly, the reliability was obtained by the method of internal consistency, which was obtained through the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, where values of the scales of the questionnaire oscillate between .487 and .718 reaching levels between moderate, minimally acceptable and respectable. Finally, the norms table was set by gender, using the nonparametric Mann Whitney U test where significant differences were found (p<.05) and age norms for the Kruskal Wallis test was used, where no significant differences were found in relation to the age variable.
