Abstract

This psychometric and technological study aimed to build and determine the pshychometric properties of General Sexism Scale. The sample had 676 students of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade of high school of Moyobamba city, it was obtained through probabilistic and stratified sampling. The validity of content was checked by 10 experts and with the analyisis of the V of Aiken coefficient. The validity of construct was analyzed method dimensionality with exploratory factorial analysis and it showed a group of 6 factors that explain the 50.3% of variance. There were found 36 items with > .20 values using the coefficient of correlation of the product of Pearson moment. According to reliability the Cronbrach’s Alpha was .88 and finally the percentile norms were set up with 5 descriptive levels and cut off points: High, trend to high, moderated, trend to low and low.
