Abstract

This investigation, was based on the maintenance of biomedical equipment, of the clinical Sánchez Ferrer -Trujillo, with a total sample of 173 teams, grouped in 52 biomedical equipment. The aim of this investigation was to increase the reliability by evaluating a criticality analysis. They were evaluated current conditions of maintenance management indicators such a reliability, availability and maintainability, obtaining: 85.05%, 94.03% and 19.15% respectively. It was obtaining a total of 19 biomedical equipment with low maintenance indicators. The criticality analysis was conducted at 52 biomedical equipment, getting 20 critical equipment, 6 semi-critical teams and 26 not critical teams. This evaluation was performed by weighting 6 criteria: frequency of failures, impact on production, maintenance impact, impact on the maintenance staff, impact on patients and environmental impact. It was made a preventive maintenance plan for each critical biomedical equipment, obtaining an increase in maintenance indicators: 90.52% of reliability, 97.98% of availability and 33.07% of maintainability.
