Abstract

This research shows the importance of domotics in a home, through the implementation of a prototype of a home system with Arduino technology, which allows the automation of home security services through the actions of activating and deactivating sensors, turn lights on and off, open and close doors and windows, depending on the needs of users, no matter where they are.. Development was done using hardware components such as Arduino and GSM SIM 900 module for remote communication and Android application to interact with the system. With this application, a 48% increase in the security level was achieved, the average time in the door opening and closing activity was reduced to 69.70%, and 73.10% in the on and off time of lights, it was finally possible to reduce the time of verification of home safety with the proposed system by 96.39%.
