Abstract

This research was developed to determine the effect it would produce a reengineering in the entry logistic processes on the effectiveness of the logistics office from a university of Trujillo in the year 2016. The research was done to the logistics office, being 8 workers the sample, along with the internal clients (cost centers), where a Paretto design was applied to a sample of 24 persons, ant with providers, and the sample was of 37. To workers, a checklists was taken and the providers were evaluated with a questionary and using direct observation, documents revision, and recollected information, strengths and weaknesses of the office was identified, also, a problem tree was elaborated; to later determine the current logistic process through a flowchart. Likewise, it was determined and measured the office through indicators, which were useful to propose five managements of the office (purchasing management, supplier management, warehouse management, stock management, and billing management) through a flowchart, also, it was proposed the new job profiles, and a better distribution of the functions of the workers, then a questionary for the logistic office workers and the internal clients; first, to be able to know if the proposed reengineering will be effective or not and then to measure the percentage of improvement of the indicators. The estimate of the indicators received from the reengineering proposal resulted in the registration of properly registered suppliers will be a 71% improvement, on the orders correctly generated 32%, in the processes of purchase orders 7%, in fulfilling orders delivered on time 43%, on the orders correctly received in the store by 58% and purchase orders issued postdated invoices 73% of improvement. Thus, the results obtained indicate that a reengineering of the entry logistic processes does improve the effectiveness of the logistic office of the Trujillo University, in the year 2016.
