This research was carried out with the main purpose of implementing an improvement in warehouse management to reduce storage costs in a timber industry. Materials and methods: The proposed methodology was applied with a pre-experimental design; the sample consisted of the company's warehouse costs for the last five months of the year 2022 (for the pre-test) and for the first five months of the year 2023 (for the post-test). The instruments used for data collection were the checklist and the data analysis guide. Results: It was found that handling costs showed a reduction of 4.21%, from S/. 8,800.00 to S/. 8,429.80; possession costs decreased by 39.34%, from S/. 15,723.80 to S/. 9,537.40; administration costs decreased by 5.34%, from S/. 6,083.20 to S/. 5,758.60. Finally, a significant reduction in total storage costs of up to 22.48% was identified, from S/. 30,607.00 to S/. 23,725.80. Conclusion: Warehouse management achieves a reduction in storage costs; this was contrasted with the T Student hypothesis test for paired samples, with a p-value = 0.00292988 being less than 0.05.
