Indoor soccer (futsal) in Colombia is a very popular sport with great sporting development. In the world context, in recent decades Colombia has obtained the highest recognition (current world champion in the men’s and women’s adult categories). The present study aims to determine the leadership profile of Colombian indoor soccer coaches. For the present study, we developed the adaptation of the Leadership Scale in its self-perception version for coaches to the Colombian indoor soccer sport, based on the Leadership Scale for Sport by Chelladurai and Saleh (1980) and on the adaptation and validation in Spanish by Crespo et al. (1994). In addition, a questionnaire of socio-demographic data was designed and applied to the coaches. Sixty coaches participated in the study, attending the VII International Indoor Soccer Seminar held in the city of Bogota in August 2015 (SIFSB2015). The results obtained show that the coaches participating in the study have a profile focused on the dimensions of training and instruction and positive feedback, which indicates a certain preference for task orientation, as well as the reinforcement and recognition of the sportsmen and women when they perform their actions. The psychometric analysis of the instrument shows an internal consistency of 0.823 and a Pearson correlation between the training and meaningful instruction dimensions of r=0.510 at 1 % indicating a moderate and direct relationship between these factors.
