Family violence in pregnancy with the presence of obstetric emergencies. Regional Hospital Eleazar Guzman Barron of Chimbote, March - May 2014

In order to identify whether physical, sexual and psychological and emotional domestic violence can cause an obstetric emergency during pregnancy. Quantitative observational research study, no experimental design, cross-sectional correlational research was conducted. With a sample population of 182 pregnant women who attended her pregnancy in antenatal care at Regional Hospital Eleazar Guzman Barron Chimbote. During the period March 2014 May Those pregnant women were selected using simple random interview applied to data collection results were entered into a database created in Excel computer then the software SPSS version 17 for Windows. Results were processed to evaluate the correlation of the variables through the chi square significance level p < 0.05. The results showed that during pregnancy the frequency of physical violence occurs sometimes several times in 17.6% and 1.6%, psychological and emotional violence occurs sometimes several times in 53.3% and 23.6%, and the sexual violence occurs only sometimes by 15.4%, respectively; also that the frequency of obstetric emergencies during the first, second and third trimester of pregnancy was 31.9%, 18.7% and 4.9%, respectively; finally concluded that there is no relationship between physical and sexual violence with any of obstetric emergencies in the first quarter (p> 0.05); there is only relation between psychological violence and obstetric emergencies such as abortion and threatened abortion (p <0.01), but pregnant women who suffered psychological and emotional violence in the second trimester had emergency in which there is only relation between psychological violence and obstetric emergencies such as abortion (p <0.01) and threatened abortion (p <0.01) .The type of violence that occurred in Pregnancy regarding his relationship with the type of obstetric emergency in Quarter III, it was concluded that the Physical Violence present highly significant dependence abruption (p <0.01), compared to women who received psychological violence, in the III quarter only exists Threat delivery (p <0.05)
