Abstract

To determine the effectiveness of An Education Program of Hysterectomy Care in Preoperative anxiety level of women in the gynecology of HRDT Trujillo 2012, a study was application type research, experimental pre. Design pre test-post test with a single group. Given that the primary pathology that leads to uterine fibroids is hysterectomy, which affects 20% of the female population, the highest incidence is in fertile women between 35-49 years. Theory was used as the basis of self-care educational program. We used a non-probability sample (n = 150 women in preoperative hysterectomy). The instruments used were the Self-Assessment Scale Zung Anxiety (EAA) comprises a 20-item questionnaire and Knowledge Questionnaire (Pre - Post test) showed that 72% of women had high anxiety levels before application of program, after the implementation of the educational program found that 88% of women had no anxiety. Program effectiveness was evaluated statistically by Student t-test, determining that the implementation of the Educational Program "Pre Operative Care" hysterectomy significantly influenced the decrease in anxiety (p = 0.000). It is concluded that the designed educational program was effective in pre-operative care of hysterectomy to prepare physically and psychologically patients improved their survival as reducing anxiety.
