Implementation of a collaborative virtual tourist guide for improving spreading tourist sites in the Province of San Ignacio - Cajamarca

Abstract

The study is a quantitative and quasi-experimental. Was performed in order to improve the dissemination of tourist sites in the province of San Ignacio - Cajamarca, through the implementation of a collaborative virtual guidebook. We worked with a population of 508 tourists and a sample of 153. Technique was applied in the survey through a questionnaire pretest and posttest. According to the analysis of the results, the Tourist Guide improving the dissemination of attractions in the province of San Ignacio, with a satisfaction level of 81%, 38% higher than that obtained with traditional guides. Similarly, reducing time and average seek cost tourist information in 44% and 36%, respectively. The Student t test showed significant differences between pretest and posttest results regarding the level of satisfaction, costs and search time tourist information, with a significance level of 5%.
