Abstract

This research was based on the functionalist theory of communication and the theory of uses and gratifications. Also, to the contemporary cinematographic theory, as far as cinematographic science is concerned. This scientific work was configured as quantitative, non-experimental and descriptive propositional. The population sample was made up of the students from the professional academic schools of Communication Sciences of the most important universities of Trujillo: Universidad

César Vallejo, Universidad Católica de Trujillo, Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego and Universidad Privada del Norte. A questionnaire to get to know the students' level of knowledge about audiovisual production and cinematography was applied; audiovisual and cinematographic documentary analysis guides to know the formats produced and their narrative and linguistic components. Finally, it was found that the proposal of a structural model of video clip based on cinematographic discourse would significantly strengthen the audiovisual production of the students of Communication Sciences of Trujillo, by constructing a cinematographic video clip, which was the general objective of this contribution.
