Abstract

The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between organizational commitment and employees' work-stress at the Regional Teaching Hospital of Cajamarca in 2016. This was a correlational research with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. In addition, for the organizational commitment variable, the survey technique was applied with the "Meyer and Allen Factorial Analysis of Organizational Commitment Scale" questionnaire as an instrument, and for work-related stress, a “work-related stress index" questionnaire. The population was made up of 939 employees with the sample consisting of 273 employees of this organization. When correlating the two variables, it was concluded that there is a weak relationship between organizational commitment and work-related stress, with an index of 0,287.
