The objective of this research was to determine the correlation between "Acute respiratory infections (IRA) and coping styles in drug-resistant patients with tuberculosis in the health centers of San Juan de Lurigancho". The study was of a descriptive correlational type with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample was made up of 30 drug-resistant patients between 18 and 60 years of age who attended the health centers to receive their tuberculosis treatment. The State-Rank 2 Acute Respiratory Infection Expression Inventory (STAXI-2) and the COPE Questionnaire (Coping Estimation Inventory) were used. Therefore, both were adapted instruments showing above-average reliability. The data obtained through descriptive statistics, Chi-square and Crombach's Alpha determined reliable results that showed significant correlation between acute respiratory infections and coping styles. Likewise, the male population was considered larger than the female population and according to the MDR diagnosis, it shows a greater case in groups of 25 to 30 years of age.
