In order to identify the clinical-epidemiological profile of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in children under 5 years of age treated at Hospital I Albrecht, a retrospective study of case series was conducted in which a total of 116 patients were evaluated and whose hospitalization diagnosis was CAP from January 2012 to December 2017. The most affected group was from 1 to 4 years of age with 68%; the most common place of origin was the district of Trujillo with 59%. The predominant clinical manifestation was fever. Antibiotic therapy was given in 100% of the cases, and chest x-ray was taken in 90% of the cases. The most used antibiotic was Ceftriaxone (98%). It was concluded that the predominant epidemiological characteristic was the male sex, the majority coming from Trujillo. Within the clinical characteristics, the main symptom was fever. Likewise, the most commonly used diagnostic method was chest x-ray and the most common treatment received was Ceftriaxone.
