Eating disorders are common among adolescents and young people, especially in the female university population. The goal was to determine the frequency of eating disorders in a group of college students using a descriptive observational study. The population consisted of 232 students from the School of Nutrition of César Vallejo University, Lima Este, from which a sample of 147 students was randomly selected. The instrument used was the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) of Gandarillas (α= 0,879) Spanish version. The results showed that 15.6% had eating disorders, especially those between 21 and 25 years old (17.8%), males (19.6%), first-year students (33.3%) and workers (26.9%). Only a significant association was reported between the presence of eating disorders and the years of study (p<0.05). It was concluded that the frequency of eating disorders was similar to those reported in other studies.
