Learning styles as a strategy for the reduction of student desertion at the University Cesar Vallejo

It has been assessed the level of student desertion at the university, “Cesar Vallejo” of Trujillo city and constructed a proposal that deals with the various students ways of learning. It was prepared and applied a survey to 642 student deserters from accounting and administrative sciences, Engineering and Law to find out the causes of the abandonment of studies. The proposal was framed within the constructivism approach making use of the Kolb test to determine the learning styles of 1439 students. The knowledge of the student learning styles can contribute to the design of strategies to reduce the desertion.
