Abstract

This study is an explanatory quantitative considering that seen in adolescents lack of knowledge about sexuality, and that and looking for misinformation in other contexts, perhaps due to the indifference of their parents, this reason to investigate the ability of as sociocultural dialogue between parents and children about sex high school adolescent students. It was considered a sample of 50 adolescents in the 3rd grade high school in Trujillo, Peru and intentionally using two questionnaires developed by the researchers, the first measures the ability of dialogue about sex (CCDRS) with reliability of 0,83 and the second on cultural factors (FCDRS) with 27 items with an overall reliability of 0.90 this variable has three dimensions: level of confidence, attention span and conservatism. The explanation was assessed by the values of correlation coefficients found in the results that certain groups of students who show low levels at the dimensions: level of confidence, attention span and conservatism on the issue of dialogue about sex with their parents. The dimensions confidence level, length of care are highly significant correlation with the level of dialogue about sex.Due to the high value of the correlations can be seen at the level of confidence and attention span as factors horizontal dialogue about sex.
