Psychological variables associated with happiness in peri-urban centers and urban marginal Lima

The investigation determined the relation between the psychological variables extravertion, positive affections, individualism, collectivism and happiness; and identify, which are the best predictoras of the happiness. The sample was integrated by 200 persons of peri-urban centers and urban marginal of Lima, to whom one administered Happiness Inventory of Lima, scale of Positive and Negative Affections and the scale of extravertion, individualism and collectivism. The results show that the happiness relates in a significant and positive way to the positive affections, collectivism and extravertion, whereas it relates significantly and negatively with the individualism. Finally, the regression analysis found that positive affects in more important to the happiness.
