Management evaluation at Mype using the fuzzy subsets technique, 2022

Abstract

Introduction: One of the most evident realities in the business environment in Peru is that its economy is concentrated in small companies with low-scale production and reduced levels of productivity Objective: In this paper we seek to determine the factors that favor the evaluation of management in MSEs using the fuzzy subsets technique. Method: In order to carry out the evaluation, the performance of companies categorized as MSEs was identified and the criteria described in the Ansoff Model, adapted to the use of the fuzzy subsets theory, were used. Results: The results indicate that the best evaluated criteria are: logistical procedures, tax compliance, sales levels, worker training, infrastructure, access to credit, and security-corruption. These criteria are within the “efficient” and “acceptable” ranges and it is also verified that their distance is close to 0, which means that they are criteria very close to the ideal supplier (almost perfect criteria). Conclusions: Most evaluations for suppliers use the factor method, however, the weights included in the evaluation tend to be subjective decreasing the efficiency of the evaluation. What is proposed in this study is to determine these weightings (mostly subjective) using the concept of valuation integrated to the fuzzy subset method.
