Oral production, also known as "Speaking” in English, is one of the skills in the language and its two main characteristics are fluency and precision in the use of it. The article gathers the results of a preexperimental project whose general objective was to determine whether the application of a program of teaching-learning strategies improved the oral production in English of the students of III and IV cycles of the career of Translation and Interpretation from the School of Languages of Cesar Vallejo University, Trujillo 2017. Prior to the application of the program, the level of oral production in English of these students was identified, and the program of teaching-learning strategies was designed and applied to improve their oral production through eight ninety-minute sessions each. Finally, the level of oral production in English of the students was identified after the application of the program and the scores obtained were analyzed to verify its effectiveness. The results showed that the application of the Program significantly improved the students' oral production in English. It is hoped that the information will serve as a basis for future research that will support the improvement of the oral production in English of the students who belong to the School of Languages of Cesar Vallejo University.
