Abstract

The study is a pre-experimental design that explains the implementation of the JIT system to a sample of
all the activities of the manufacturing process of the most demanded footwear models of the company
Cam's. The data were obtained using techniques and tools such as time study, survey, Ishikawa diagram,
Pareto diagram, value flow map (VSM), line balance. Among the results obtained are a purchase and cut
control sheet to solve the bad cut of the pieces, reducing 30% of skins with the presence of blemishes and
46.3%, with a maintenance plan a reduction of 62% was achieved. % of unforeseen machine stops. The
lack of capacity in the assembly area was solved through a balance of lines, increasing 3 stations and
thereby reducing 34% of cycle time, in turn solved the excess inventory with the help of a VSM, achieving a
71% reduction in lead time. One of the conclusions of the study is that the application of the JIT system
significantly improves the quality of the process and increases productivity
