Abstract

The theme focuses on identifying problems of urban character at the metropolitan level, due to the growth of the city in a disjointed form; Evaluating the growth model of the South Trujillo axis and being able to determine what type of strategies can make the Moche River an urban, environmental and landscape articulating axis. The objective was to develop a situational diagnosis of the current growth model and its urban environmental landscape problem in the sector. Determining types of urban intervention strategies, to convert the river into an urban urban articulating axis, identifying potential zones for the implementation of public spaces and connectors. In this way constitute the river as a structuring element of urban planning. The Moche river is now a physical barrier, generating marginal spaces. On the other hand, the great potential was established as an urban environmental structuring axis, identifying three sectors with differentiated landscape scenarios of environmental quality, propitious to implement public spaces and elements that help the urban connectivity. The approach integrates the river as an ecological axis, allowing nature to enter the city, a reverse process to the current dynamics, breaking this invasive scheme, filling large areas with concrete and carrying out disturbing activities already described.
