Abstract

This research focuses on the critical success factors of the exporting company, how faces the challenge of entering an expanded market. It was considered Peruvian export companies of the agroindustry, textile, manufacturing and fishery sectors based at Lima. For analysis facto - perceptible were grouped factors affecting the competitiveness of exports within two variables: critical success factors and capabilities of businesses. Aim of the work: establish the relationship of the critical success factors and capabilities of Peruvian export companies. To support the research the following theories were discussed: International trade, Determinants of export performance, Internationalization of the firm and Capabilities of the company. The result confirms the hypothesis that there is a significant relationship between critical success factors and capabilities of Peruvian export companies. In conclusion, the companies under study followed flexible strategies to develop foreign markets with high quality products; adapted to the standards and certifications of the target markets; with prices according to the market, often already established by the same; with no standardized promotion and managers who knew the foreign market.
