Abstract

In order to determine whether compliance of the Birth Plan relates to the level of anxiety in primigravid
during labor in the Hospital II - 2 Tarapoto, from October 2012 to January 2013; A descriptive, quantitative,
prospective, correlational and cross-sectional study was conducted with a population and sample of 118
primigravid in labor, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, considering a confidence level of 95%
and an error of 5%. For data collection, a questionnaire and a list of comparisons was applied. Statistical
analysis was performed using the Student t test. The research showed that 100% of primigravid met the
birth plan, 51.7% had normal anxiety, 23.7% from mild to moderate, 13.6% severe and 11% too severe. It
is concluded that there is a negative significant relationship between compliance of the Birth Plan and the
anxiety of primigravid during labor.
