This study evaluated the implementation of a mitigation measure to reduce environmental noise in the School PNP Precursors of National Independence. Two campaigns of environmental noise measurement was performed in June 2014 to assess the noise outside and inside and to evaluate only the noise indoors in November 2014. The methodologies used in measuring noise were two Peruvian regulations, NTP - 1996- 1: 2007 and NTP 1996-2: 2008, published by the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property. The materials were tecnopor mitigation measure for its portability and support; and the polyurethane sound absorption capacity. During implementation of the mitigating measure tecnopor panels 200 were built by polyurethane fiber covering an effective area of 32 m2 . For evaluation was used the law D.S. 085-2003 -PCM and guide for Community Noise was used to WHO. The measurement results show that noise around the school did not meet the Environmental Quality Standard (EQS) in residential area, or the EQS in special area. The spatial distribution of noise showed that the main source of noise is the Av. Panamericana with 70 dBA West of the School, which is distributed and accumulated north of the school. North of the college classroom more noise indoors with 65.3 dBA was identified. The results of measurements after installing the mitigation measure noise showed that 14.1 % was reduced to 9 dBA equivalent noise reduction within the selected classroom.
