Identification of species in the Andean Wetlands Award for Conservation Alto Huayabamba

Andean wetlands harbor unique plant and animal life in its class, its study is essential to understand the dynamics of populations in an Andean watershed, in that sense the objective of this research was to identify herbaceous species, birds and amphibians in wetlands altoandinos of High Conservation Concession Huayabamba, San Martín Region, Huayabamba sectors, Yonan, Quinguyacu Yámpio and during the months from March to April (wet season) and June-July (dry season). For species identification was employed different methodologies for sampling transects plants with repeats every 100 meters for birds Kilometers of Abundance Indices (IKA) and Spot Index of Abundance (IPA) and the identification of amphibian capture method directed. We identified 64 herbaceous species distributed in 21 families, highlighting the Asteraceae family with 12 species, 11 bird species abundance as timely index, being the largest number of species Quinguyacu sector, with 9 species, 12 bird species as kilometric index abundance, with the highest number of species Quinguyacu sector, with 8 species and 2 amphibian species corresponding to 2 families, most species being found in the area Huayabamba, with 2 species.
