Cutaneous horn
Keywords:
Cutaneous hornAbstract
The cutaneous horn is a conical-shaped, hyperkerathoid mass with height usually larger tan the base's diameter, in association with multiple causes developing itself from pre-existing benign, premalignant or malignant-type skin injuries. The primary diagnosis is based upon clinical findings on the patient during examination made by the physician; however, in order to discard malignant-associated disease, surgical excision and histopathological examination become necessary. We report one case on an elderly female patient with a scalp-located cutaneous horn.
