Code of ethics, Nuremberg Code, Helsinki StandardsAbstract
In the present research, a systematic review was carried out, with the objective of systematizing the empirical evidence on the implications of the different international codes of ethics on research practice and showing the impact on scientific practice of the different codes such as the Nuremberg Code, Helsinki Standards, among others. Based on the PRISMA method, the Scielo, WoS and Scopus databases were used, where primary articles in Spanish and English from the last 5 years were selected. As a result, 309 articles were found, and 10 articles relevant to the topic were included. Among the main results on the implications for scientific practice, it stands out that it improves interdisciplinary collaboration, there is greater rigor in the research methodology, protection of participants, use of informed consent, favors the integrity of the researcher, professional self-regulation, and improves confidence. In conclusion, codes of ethics not only regulate individual practices, but establish the basis for reliable and responsible science.
