Abstract

This essay supports research aimed at improving the teaching management of managers of state schools Lambayeque District, through proposed Transformational Leadership workshops. A design descriptive, located in an integrative-situational epistemological approach, with a sample of 10 institutions, who were given an instrument designed by the Peruvian Institute for Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of Quality Basic Education was used measure the quality management policy, taking into account the following factors: Institutional Management, Support teacher performance, Working together with families and the community, use of information and infrastructure and Learning Resources; which were processed and where patterns of regularity for all questionnaire items were obtained. The analysis of the results was done by contrast to the theory sustaining research and found that the predominant leadership style is transactional. Being the most striking finding, that managers have an administrative rather than pedagogical leadership.
