Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

In general, all articles must have:

Title (in English and Spanish)
Name and last name of the authors
Email of the authors (Preferably institutional)
Affiliation of the authors
ORCID code
Abstract no more than 250 words (in English and Spanish)
Between 3 and 5 keywords (in English and Spanish)

The following documents must be attached:

The article in APA format (7th edition).
Presentation letter.
Declaration of Authorship using CRediT.

The possible responses to sending the article are:

Acceptable for publication without modification.
Acceptable for publication if it absolves observations.
Not acceptable for publication.

Please note that restrictions apply against multiple applications during the same semester. More than one article in which the same author participates will not be accepted for application to the review process in the journal. The author whose article alone or in co-authorship has been accepted for publication may apply for a second article one year after the first was accepted.

STRUCTURE OF THE MANUSCRIPTS TO BE PUBLISHED
ORIGINAL RESEARCH: Original research is considered to be all those research papers derived from a scientific research process, where an objective is set and responded to by presenting results.
The structure of original research must contain the following parts: Title, authorship, abstract, keywords, abstract, keywords, introduction, material and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, and bibliographical references. The total length of the document will have a maximum of fifteen pages and tables and/or figures will be accepted, as the case may be.
5.1. Title: Summarizes the main idea of ​​the manuscript in a clear manner and written in the style of scientific communication. It should not exceed fifteen words.
5.2. Authorship
5.2.1. Name of the author(s): Start with the person responsible for the research, writing the name or names, paternal last name and maternal last name. If more than one author has participated in the research, put them in the sequence that the research team has decided, maintaining the same characteristic of the names and surnames of the person in charge.

5.2.2. Institutional affiliation: The affiliation identifies the institution where the author or authors belong. In the event that the study has received financial support, the institution that provided the financing must be specified. In the data of the authors, the email and ORCID are essential.
5.3. Abstract: The abstract should highlight new and important aspects of the findings derived from the study, written in a maximum of 200 words. The abstract must be concise and must adequately reflect the objective, material and methods, results, discussion and conclusions of the investigation.
5.4. Keywords: It is recommended that there be no less than three and no more than five. Allows indexing in publication format of electronic abstracts.
5.5. Abstract: It is the summary in English Language.
5.6. Keywords: These are the keywords written in English.
5.7. Introduction: It allows to describe the problem under study and covers the theoretical aspect of the investigation. The problem, objectives, background and justification can be presented sequentially.
5.8. Material and methods: Description of the type and/or design, as well as the method used to carry out the investigation. It should also include the study population and sample.
5.9. Results: Present the results following a logical sequence in the text, tables and illustrations (if necessary), highlighting the most important findings first. These must contain a title that identifies it.
6.0 Discussion: Highlight the newest and most important aspects, as well as the interpretation and analysis of the implications of the results. Avoid affirmations or allusions about the aspects of the investigation that have not been reached to a good conclusion. Concretize the debate of the findings, establishing the articulation and/or the distance with similar investigations that have been carried out and have been cited as precedents.
7.0. Conclusions: Refer to the most outstanding conclusions of the investigation.
8.0. Bibliographic references: The uniformity of the bibliographic references will have the APA 2020 standards as a standard, in its different forms of literature: book, book chapter, journal article, article abstract, research journal article, dictionaries, congress, thesis, web address etc.
9.0 Annexes: It is included only if it helps the readers to understand the study.

REVIEW ARTICLES: A review article summarizes the knowledge of several studies in a specific area seeking to have a broad knowledge about the subject.
They must be written according to the following scheme: - Title, author(s) - Abstract - Introduction - Body of the review (as the case may be) - Bibliographic References The total length of the document will have a maximum of thirty pages and tables will be accepted. and/or figures, as the case may be.

OPINION ARTICLES: An opinion article is an argumentative text that is characterized by presenting the personal point of view of an author on a topic.
They must be written according to the following scheme: - Title, author(s) - Abstract - Introduction - Body - Conclusion - Bibliographic References The total length of the document will have a maximum of seven pages and tables and/or figures will be accepted, as appropriate. the case.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: It constitutes a communication addressed to the editor and contributes to the rapid exchange of ideas, opinions, basic/clinical experiences and scientific discoveries, including opinions on published articles.
They must be written according to the following scheme:
- Letter
- Bibliographic references (support)
The total length of the document is one page.

References should be adjusted according to the following guideline, in accordance with the APA 2020 7th edition (American Psychological Association) standard. We suggest consulting http://www.apastyle.org/ APA standards to see more examples and cases.
