Design for the improvement of the road stretch the Almiranta – Palo Blanco – District of Quiruvilca - Province of Santiago de Chuco – Departamento La Libertad

Abstract

This research project was located in the District of Quiruvilca, Province of Santiago de Chuco, Department of La Libertad.

The road has an extension of 7,970km, for the type of road designed is used a design speed of 30km/h, a roadway of 6m of width; divided into two lanes, a pumping percentage of 2.5%, all recorded data for the study were taken into account having the characteristics of the study area. The road-bed design was made with a design CBR equal to 14.98%, which indicates that the ground has a good subgrade, the thicknesses for the road-bed are the following: rolling folder 5.0cm, for the granular base layer 15.0cm and the granular layer of 20cm; taking into account that the total thickness is 40cm. With regard to the environmental impact study, were sought strategies, for the care of the environment and protection of the area, both in terms of flora and fauna, and the area of influence that the development of the project

could generate.

Finally, the respective calculations for the corresponding metered and budget were realized.
