The improvement and expansion of an efficient Integral Water and Sanitation Basic System is a priority for local, regional and national governments, in this sense the present project is proposed with the main objective of designing the system for improvement and expansion of the service of potable water and basic sanitation for the Santa Rita and Santa Elena hamlets because they have a system that already exceeded the useful life (20 years), which dates from 1993 and has been operating for 25 years, due to this is that the pipelines in sections of conduction, adduction, distribution network are in poor condition, in the same way with structural elements such as catchment and reservoir, to this we add the population increase and clandestine connections caused the lack of water for some sectors. Therefore, the present project contemplates a design period of 20 years and a projected population in this time. So we worked with a sample population of 104 beneficiary dwellings with 374 inhabitants in a territorial extension of 122 hectares in the Santa Rita and Santa Elena hamlets. So it was necessary to apply previous studies such as water quality, which was a type A-2 (waters that can be treated with conventional treatment). The hydrological study determined a flow of capacity of 0.70 l / s, the topographic study that determined a topography of undulating terrain, the study of soil mechanics gave a type of soil silty sands (SM) and gravel with sand (CL); the design of the drinking water system has a hillside catchment with a flow of 0.70 l / s, a line of conduction with a length of 382.95m with a diameter of 1 ½ "; slow filters with a storage volume of 1.44 m3; a storage reservoir with a capacity of 15 m3; total length distribution line of 7,795.63 m with diameters of 2 ", 1 ½", 1 "and ¾" formed in 15 sections and 85 residential connections with a diameter of ½ "and a total length of 2,278.37 m. The design of the rural sanitation system determined 85 BSU; The environmental impact study uses a diagnosis and an environmental impact management plan and the study of costs and budget which is determined at a total cost of 1,892,637.33 nuevos soles including 5% of utility and 18% of IGV.
