Abstract

Objective: to determine the bio-psycho-social conditions that impact pre-eclampsia at the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital. Shut up Case Control Study. Year 2019. Material and Method: quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional, prospective work. The population considered was 125 patients and the sample size was 86. The questionnaire was applied to 258 patients, based on two controls for each case, so it has been considered: 86 cases and 172 controls. Results: in the present work it has been possible to determine that preeclampsia, as a disease, increases its magnitude in the target population due to the influence of the biopsycho-social conditions analyzed. Conclusions: Bio-psycho-social conditions have a significant impact on cases of pre-eclampsia in the target population of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, given that there is a significant multivariate OR in biological conditions such as pregnancies under 34 weeks (OR = 4,282 ), preeclampsia anterior (OR = 7,606), pre-existing disease (OR = 2,996), direct family members with a history of preeclampsia (OR = 2,918); that there is a significant multivariate OR in the psychological conditions of feelings of sadness in pregnancy (OR = 2,019) and that there is a significant multivariate OR in social conditions in relation to work away from home (OR = 2,368), belonging to an ethnic group (OR = 3,076) and economic problems (OR = 2,026).
