This document analysed the technical-economic feasibility conversion of a thermal power plant and electricity substation to a cogeneration system in Hirn cycle to reduce fuel and electricity costs in the industrial plant Danper Trujillo SAC, for which the residual fuel oil is changed for natural gas, it was used the theory on Hirn cycle , it was made a technical analysis of elements such as boiler superheated steam which it was transmitted heat from the combustion, turbine which was generated mechanical work through steam expansion, generator which transform mechanical energy into electrical energy for use in the plant, degasser which raised the water temperature at the entrance to the boiler; also It has been made an environmental impact analysis and an economic analysis where the NPV, IRR and PRI was calculated. The current status of plant was diagnosed and was determined the parameters of the elements of the thermal plant and substation such as working steam pressure, steam now, condensate recovery rate, fuel now, average power plant, also an environmental impact analysis was carried out using a stoichiometric balance of combustion as well as the cost of fuel and electricity; then the parameters of the cogeneration system elements were determined, where was possible to reduce production of CO2 in 5400 T.N/Year, fuel cost was determined, which was achieved reduce in 1'128'600 S/Year, and electric power was reduced in 2'175'000 S/Year. Finally the results obtained are compared and an economic analysis was performed obtaining a VAN of 29'986'909, TIR of 44% and a PRI of 2.3 years.
