Abstract

The research was intended to identify the psychometric properties of the Multimodal Questionnaire of School Interaction (CMIE - IV) in high school students from the province of Trujillo. The sample was 3847 students, with a 95% significance level and a 0.02 sampling error. An exploratory factor analysis was done by the method of rotation (Varimax) and 5 pre-fixed factors with a variance of 46,066 % were extracted by the method of components. An exploratory factor structure with high factor loadings of 0.5 to 0.6 in each of the five factors was obtained. An item-test correlation was made to assess the construct validity of the Multimodal Questionnaire of School Interaction (CMIE -IV) I, II, III, IV, V finding a measure of the discrimination of item with correlations above 0.2. Likewise in the concurrent validity, highly significant direct correlations of weak degrees (p < .01) between the CMIE, CDI and GHQ questionnaires are shown. Finally, the reliability with overall Cronbach alpha of CMIE – IV was 0.863. Besides, scales were established for the variable sex.
