Abstract

The aim was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Quality Familiar Interaction Scales(QFIS) in a sample of school students from the ages between 9 and 18 years from Metropolitan Lima. The items presented appropriate correlations item-test. Also, principal components analysis conducted reveals that the QFIS presents a structure ofseven factorsin the section of the Father, and eight factorsin the section of the Mother. On the other hand, with regard to reliability, it presents an internal consistency suitable in all the subscales of both sections. Thus in QFIS has psychometric properties suitable to continue with validation studies using other strategies, thus supporting its use as an instrument for the assessment of the familiarinteraction.
