This research analyzes the correlation between personal and positive mental health factors in a sample of university students of teacher education. An investigation of basic type, descriptive level and hypothetical-deductive method was developed. A transactional correlational design was applied, with a population of 669 students and a sample of 313 students between men and women. The sampling was nonprobabilistic and intentionally. To measure the positive mental health, the Positive Mental Health Test by Maria Teresa Lluch (1999) was applied. Gamma and DSomers and the test of independence (Chi square) were applied to correlate the statistical factors. Significant correlation in two factors evaluated was found: loving relationship and self-esteem. As for the level of positive mental health in the students tested, it was found that only 10.8% of students reached the scores of Good or Best level.
