Abstract

This scientific investigation made it possible to demonstrate the relationship between management leadership, teaching performance and the academic performance of the 5th grade students of the secondary level of the Educational Institution 5051 “Virgen de Fátima” UGEL Ventanilla - Red 05 - Lima, 2016. To do this, it was considered feasible to propose a quantitative approach of correlational design, also in the collection of information a questionnaire was considered that was applied to the sample conformed by 100 students, to know their opinion with respect to the study variables, in the same way to guarantee their High reliability was applied to the Cronbach’s Alpha test. On the other hand, the SPSS version 21 computer package was applied, using Spearman’s Rho formula with a margin of error of 5%. The general hypothesis found a correlation of Rho = .521, since the majority considered as regular and sometimes adequate with respect to the leadership and teaching performance, respectively, thus affecting the academic performance that reaches a regular level. With respect to the first and second specific hypothesis, a relationship of Rho = .507 and Rho = .565, respectively, was found. This showed that managers need to rethink the processes of learning management and organizational structure within the educational institution, while the teacher needs to improve their skills in the performance of their work in the classroom with respect to their abilities pedagogical, cultural and political.
