Modeling of the Argentine version of the Alarcón Gratitude Scale with the Item Response Theory

In the present study, the Graduated Response Model of the Item Response Theory was applied to the Argentine version of the Alarcón Gratitude Scale. The sample, obtained by accessibility, was composed of 864 participants from different regions of the country (56% women). The values of the parameters a indicated that the response categories had a moderate to very high ability to distinguish between participants with different levels of gratitu- de. While the values of the b parameters indicated that the selection of the first response categories requires a low trait level. The Information Function of the Test showed that the scale was reliable and informative from very low to high levels of gratitude.
