Abstract

One of the worst evils of our time is child labor, a problem that is rooted in our culture from the past, characterized by harming the integral development of children and / or adolescents, as it is one of the most difficult psychosocial problems to eradicate. Generate a vicious circle within a community. This also directly harms any country because it does not contribute to its development. This problem responds to various factors that will be analyzed in this article, for example poverty; also this research seeks to inform the population about this phenomenon which society often is indifferent, to continue with the awareness that has been done by different institutions that are against this problem. In Peru it is evident that child labor is found in a greater proportion in regions such as Huancavelica, Apurímac, Cajamarca, Huánuco and Puno. According to the newspaper Peru 21 (2016), in one of its journalistic notes, it reveals that according to the statistics provided by the INEI, in our country about 1.65 million children ranging in ages from 6 to 17 years work, from which approx. 79% share their work with the school, and 21% are dedicated only to work, thus harming their development.
