Abstract

The present work was executed as part of the practices of the curriculum experience Family Psychotherapy of the Professional Academic School of Psychology of the Cesar Vallejo University – Trujillo, during the semester 2017 I. A treatment plan was elaborated and executed with a family that went as a beneficiary to the Aranjuez Health Center, who demanded help to improve the family relationship. The problem manifested itself through verbal aggressions between both parents, loss of parental authority over the children and even attempted physical aggression towards the mother by the eldest son, disavowal of hierarchical controls in the nuclear family, lack of organization, order and cleanliness among the members of the family. The total duration of the therapeutic intervention was 7 sessions. During the process, techniques derived from Brief Systemic Therapy were used as a general framework, as well as Behavioral Cognitive Techniques, Humanist. Likewise, strategies were used to generate a collaborative relationship with the consultants. Improvements in family interaction were achieved and the progress scale reached a score of 8, having started with a score of 2. The objectives achieved were achieved through the results achieved and the effectiveness of the executed treatment plan was verified.
