Abstract

This research of instrumental type and with an integrative theoretical approach, had as objective, Develop and Establish the preliminary Psychometric Analysis of the Typological Jealousy Scale in professionals of the Trujillo district. The sample was 519 professionals and technicians between the ages of 22 and 60. The aforementioned scale was prepared and the Confirmatory Factor Analysis indicated the final structure of the instrument, with 39 items distributed in 3 dimensions: romantic jealousy, friendly jealousy and professional jealousy; they are statistically symmetric and leptocurtic; Each dimension has 4 indicators: Insecurity, Affected Self-concept, Competition and Envy; 13 items per dimension. (CMIN / gl = .564; .150 and .282; RMR = .026; .014 and .019, AGFI = .981; 991 and .992; RFI = .942; .985 and .970). Regarding the indices of reliability, the dimension of romantic jealousy obtained an index of .83, friendly jealousy .96 and work jealousy .87, indicating a good fit.
