Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between organizational culture and work engagement in public educational institutions of the district of Santiago de Cao (Ascope). To fulfill this purpose, a study was carried out with a quantitative approach, of non-experimental, descriptive-correlational and transversal design. The population was constituted by 60 teachers belonging to 3 Institutions of the localities of Chiquitoy, Santiago de Cao and Cartavio. The selected sample finally amounted to a total of 53 teachers, who were given a self-administered questionnaire to measure their perception of the variables in question. The results found have determined that the alternative hypothesis has not been proven, since the existence of an inverse, though not significant, relationship between the variables studied was found. It has also been determined that the types of culture of involvement, consistency, adaptability and mission have an inverse relationship with the labor engagement of the workers of the aforementioned institutions.
