Abstract

As an immediate continuation of the one published in the first edition of this Journal, the present theoretical research continues to elucidate the elusive construct of happiness at work, this time from the review of two of the most accredited theories of Work motivation, such as the theory of self-determination and the theory of psychological flow, which have their common starting point in the study of intrinsic motivation. Based on its link with human needs, we postulate the hypothesis that through the theory of self-determination and its complementation with the theory of psychological flow could better explain happiness at work.
