Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine if employees of public institutions fulfill the generic labor competencies that their respective jobs require. For this purpose, a research was designed with a qualitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional, using the interview as data collecting technique to identify the generic labor competencies required by the organization and their respective degrees; as well as the rubric, to determine which were the competencies that each worker possessed. A convenience sample of 27 workers of the institution was used, and we concluded that 67% of workers do not fulfill the generic labor competencies that their respective jobs require.
