Abstract

The objective of this study has been to determine if there is a direct and significant relationship between the leadership style and the work motivation of the workers of a state financial institution. The sample population has been made up of a total of 90 workers, to whom a self-administered questionnaire was applied, and a response rate of around 70% was obtained. The results confirm the existence of a direct and significant relationship between transformational and transactional leadership styles with the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of workers. They also confirm the existence of an inverse and significant relationship between avoidance leadership and intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
