Effect of an educational program on preventive maternal attitudes and practices of anemia in children under 1 year of age at the pueblo libre health post, La Esperanza, Trujillo, 2018

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the application of an educational program on maternal attitudes and practices to prevent anemia in children under one year of age at the Pueblo Libre Health Post - La Esperanza, Trujillo,2018. The sample consisted of 61 mothers, who were given a questionnaire before and after the educational program to measure the level of maternal attitudes and practices. The results of this research showed that after the application of the

educational program, 60.7% of the mothers presented a favorable attitude. Likewise, 57.4% of the mothers presented good practices. In conclusion, the implementation of an educational program has a significant effect on maternal attitudes and practices that prevent anemia in 1-year-old children at the Pueblo Libre Health Post-La Esperanza-Trujillo, 2018.
