The present investigation is to demonstrate if association exists between Stegen's criteria modified by Toledo in patients with paediatric tuberculosis, and to identify the association of Stegen's criteria modified by Toledo in paediatric patients with paediatric tuberculosis. The population of the study was shaped by Clinical Histories of 36 patients by diagnosis of tuberculosis BK + and 34 by diagnosis of tuberculosis BK - 18-year-old minors, deciding in every patient Stegen's criteria modified by Toledo. To determine if association exists between every proposed criterion and the paediatric tuberculosis applied to itself the test X2, for independence of factors. Of the patients with diagnosis of tuberculosis positive Bk (36), in major percentage, 91,67 %, He was so much for the clinical criterion and radiological criterion. Of the patients with diagnosis of tuberculosis negative Bk, in major percentage, 76.47 %, was in the clinical criterion. The association between the epidemiological criterion and the diagnosis of tuberculosis with baciloscopía positive there was no significant difference of this criterion between both groups (X2: 2.84) and it is not possible to calculate the OR.; with the clinical criterion: X2: 3.91 and OR: 3.38, with the radiological criterion: X2: 6.075 and OR: 4.58 and with the immunological criterion: X2: 29.09 and OR: 0.095. One concludes that association exists between the clinical and radiological criteria with the diagnosis of paediatric Tuberculosis in patients BK + and between the immunological criterion with TB Bk-. The presence of the epidemiological criterion does not relate to TBC's diagnosis positive Bk.
