Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the psychometric properties of the Questionnaire of Psychological Maturity (PSYMAS) in 15-to-18-year-old students, the sampling was stratified and a sample of 371 students from the third, fourth and fifth grade of secondary education in public schools of the district of Casa Grande as gotten, of which 181 were men and 189 women who answered the Questionnaire of Psychological Maturity. In the data analysis, content validity was determined by using the V Aiken expert judgment which resulted in a level of agreement among the jurors of 100% in the structure of the items raised in this research. Construct validity was established by item correlation - which relates test items with appropriate correlation coefficients. So also the factorial analysis shows good fit between the estimated model and the theoretical model. The overall reliability obtained by the Cronbach alpha coefficient was 0.75. When significant differences were found by gender, percentile norms for sex differentiation for Control subscales, orientation to work and to the overall scale were established.
