Abstract

Objective.Apply statistical process control to improve the quality of Hass avocado packaging at Empresa Fundo los Paltos S.A.C.

Materials and methods.The study is a pre -experimental application. The population and sample consisted of 7,200 and 374 boxes of avocado Hass from the company Fundo los Paltos S.A.C. Respectively, where quality tools such as flow chart, pie chart, Pareto diagram, control charts were used, data were processed using Excel and Minitab 15 software, as well as the process capability indexes for the Packing quality parameters; Statistical Process Control was applied in both the pretest and pos test.

Results.Finally the index of process capacity increased to 0.55 and the index of defective products was reduced to 12.03%, achieving a better quality of Hass avocado packaging.

Conclusion.Applying the statistical control of processes, it is possible to improve thequality of Hass avocado packaging in the Company Fundo los Paltos S.A.C.
